Butterfly's Secret

I drew this for my youngest nephew’s Christmas present. (He turned two this past February.) He loves to come into my room and play “Zehdah.” He doesn’t exactly play, but he has fun making Link do random things.

The general idea of the picture comes from the fact that in the N64 Zelda games, you could touch a butterfly with a deku stick to turn it into a fairy, so…it follows that some of them are just fairies in disguise. Maybe some of them decide to trust the little Hylian resting in the grasses of Hyrule Field. I mean, after all, he does have a fairy, too.

It’s Sakura Micron pen (size 01) on cardstock paper. There’s a little charcoal shading on the boots.

I actually really don’t like it from a little above the knees and downward. He’s supposed to be sitting on a hill, but it looks strange, and I just got too lazy to fix it. It’s for a two-year-old, after all.
But I might end up working on that part again, anyway.
