Coffee Painting Test - Link Doodle

I wanted to give coffee painting a try, so I drew up a fast-fast freehand pen doodle of Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. (It's actually probably one of my best fast-fast doodles of Link, oddly.)

This isn't watercolour paper, so it bent and bubbled--I flattened it out as much as I could. Sorry for the dark spots. They just...wouldn't flatten for some reason. oO Not sure why since I had a book on the scanner lid.

Anyway, the first time around I used regular-strength coffee. But...that didn't work out so well. It was fine, but just...couldn't get dark enough. So I dumped that glass and went to the coffee pot, poured everything in it into a pan on the stove, and took forever to reduce it to a fraction of what it was. Did that twice to get half a small jar of quite dark coffee. Came back, added the darker stuff. XD But I rushed the second half, so it's messy. Just a test, though. It taught me a bit of how to do things like to add water to concentrated coffee to get it lighter, and that it'd...be a good idea to use watercolour paper the next time.
