Reg Barclay - Ballpoint

I decided to try drawing something 'serious' with a ballpoint pen... Didn't use pencil, I just...drew with the ballpoint. It...didn't turn out that great, as you can see. Doesn't look so much like Reg/Dwight. The colour didn't even scan in totally properly; I tried to adjust everything digitally so it's accurate. I think it actually looks better in person, even if it's not great there, either.

It's in the gallery for the moment, but soon I'll migrate it to scraps.

You can see a couple of areas where I 'cheated' and used a white gel pen to go over some spots to lessen how lame they look; the gel didn't cover it completely, so it just looks like it's a finer line.

I used a screencap from the film Star Trek: First Contact for reference. If you haven't seen it yet, go and do so right now. It's AMAZING. Most definitely one of my favourite movies ever.
Of course, if you're not a trekkie, it probably won't mean as much to you, and most of it won't make sense because it builds on already established facts and characters and such. But if you ARE........wow. XD

(Little trivia: Reg's part in the movie was actually written as just a random lieutenant, but Jonathan Frakes decided to bring in Dwight to reprise Barclay.)
